Country Line Dance

Country Line Dance - Such a great way to gain togetherness and consistency. We will look at older line dances all the way through the newest and most popular ones. Using the steps we learn and study, we will even create our own dances. Each week we will strive on learning a new dance and at the end of each month, we will review all that we have learned. Example dances to be covered: Cotton Eyed Joe, Trouble, and Boot Scoot Boogie.

 

Country Line Dance Classes

• Line Dance I: 1st through 5th Grade This class will include common line dances. This class doesn’t require technique. We will also learn the terminology behind many steps. We will focus on simple ideas and simple footwork.
• Line Dance II: 6th through 8th Grade This class will include common line dances. This class doesn’t require technique. We will be using the terminology from the previous level but all will be reviewed for new students. We will also work on creating our own dances. Whole dances and elaborate combinations will be created and detailed.
